Algeria wins African Cup of Nations 2019

Algeria beat Senegal to win the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

A second minute goal from Baghdad Bounedjah was all it took for them to win the cup in Egypt.


This is their second AFCON title after 29 years when they hosted the competition in 1990.

Senegal continues their search for their first afcon title despite coming so close as they did in 2002.

 Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo also won the golden boot after emerging as the highest goal scorer of the competition with 5 goals.
